FORWARD COLLISION ALERT AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
Forward Collision Alert can warn you when it detects a potential front-end collision with a vehicle you’re following so you can quickly take action Also can provide a tailgating alert if you are following a detected vehicle much too closely When traveling at speeds below 50 mph in the daytime, Automatic Emergency Braking works with Forward Collision Alert to help you avoid or reduce the severity of a front-end collision with a detected vehicle you’re following Camera technology is used to automatically provide hard emergency braking or enhance the driver’s hard braking
Infotainment and Connectivity
Every Silverado 1500 is equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a mobile hotspot. The physical knobs and buttons make interacting with the system painless, and we appreciated the screen’s prompt responses to our touch inputs. The LT trim and up has a horizontal 13.4-inch touchscreen with enhanced features such as a Google-powered voice assistant, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and available Amazon Alexa integration.
Could the electric Silverado Trail Boss come with Crab Walk?
The new Chevy Silverado EV rides on a narrower version of the GMC Hummer EV Ultium platform. This similarity might allow the new Chevy electric truck to have some of the same off-road features as the GMC model, including Crab Walk. So far, Chevy is keeping most of the details under wraps.
How long does it take to charge the new electric Silverado?
Similar to many of the new electric vehicles on the road, the Chevy Silverado EV will be capable of adding a high percentage of its charge in 20-30 minutes using a DC Fast charging station. For those plugging in at home, a Level 2 charger is best and will power up this ride overnight.
Warranty and Maintenance Coverage
Chevy covers the half-ton Silverado with a competitive warranty that doesn’t quite match the lengthy powertrain coverage of the Nissan Titan. However, every Silverado 1500 does get one complimentary scheduled maintenance visit.
- Limited warranty covers three years or 36,000 miles
- Powertrain warranty covers five years or 60,000 miles
- Complimentary maintenance is covered for the first visit
